A spirit house can provide a little home for a guardian spirit or appease a mischievous sprite in your home. The house not only provides shelter, but acts as a means of asking permission for use of the land. Spirit houses should preferably placed near a window of your home that is close to a tree.

Never place your spirit house to the left of a door or facing a toilet. Consider it a way to give gratitude to your space :)
